We're Hiring: Events Coordinator
Location: Manchester
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (additional hours during busy periods compensated accordingly)

Role Overview:
Ready to take ownership of an exciting events programme and grow your career in events management? We're a fast-growing vintage clothing business seeking an Events Coordinator to lead our expanding university events across the UK. You'll be leading our events team, driving growth, and building your career in events management with real ownership and impact.
This role would be ideal for someone interested in events management.
About Us:
We are a passionate and fast-growing vintage clothing business, dedicated to making second-hand fashion more accessible and affordable through our popular thrift events. We host regular pop-up events at universities across the UK and weekend warehouse events in Manchester. This is a key role within our growing team.
Working Pattern:
University Term Time:
- 1-4 university events per week
- Maximum 3 nights away per week, but usually no more than 1 night away
- 1 Saturday warehouse event per month in Manchester
- When not running events, your time will be spent in the office organising upcoming events
Outside Term Time:
- Office-based work focusing on planning and preparation
- Team development and process improvement
Holiday requests during term time require discussion due to event commitments
Key Responsibilities:
Driving & Logistics (Essential)
- Drive company van to university events across the country
- Load and unload clothing rails and stock - physical strength required
Team Leadership
- Manage team of 5 retail assistants
- Coordinate staff schedules and venue logistics
- Ensure smooth event operations on the day
- Lead by example and maintain high team morale
Business Development & Reporting
- Propose strategies to grow events and increase revenue
- Identify process optimisation opportunities
- Monthly performance reporting to Head of Growth
- Work collaboratively on strategic decisions under Head of Growth guidance

Essential Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (minimum age 25)
- Ability to drive a van confidently
- Physical fitness for loading/unloading and moving equipment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Flexibility for regular overnight travel during term time
Desirable Experience:
- Events management or coordination
- Retail or hospitality background
- Team leadership experience
- Passion for sustainable fashion and vintage clothing

Reporting Structure:
